  • Near Maharaj Pier, there are several shops offering customized dentures for those who cannot afford proper dental care
  • Basically, there shops are stalls with basic denture-making tools with questionable hygiene
  • While normal dentists would charge thousands for dentures, these shops could bring the down the price to hundreds
  • They claim that their dentures are the same quality as those from dental clinics
  • Some of them even boast their dentures surpass the proper dentures because they could see the customers faces and customize their dentures accordingly to their facial features
  • Most of these denture makers are self-trained and have no permits to operate

  • Unlike dentists who must put in order for denture which could take days or weeks, these shops could complete a set of false teeth within hours; the customers could just come in, get their teeth molded and wait for their dentures in one session

2. Black Jelly Dessert , "R Kung"


The shop is located in the Tha Prajan road. It is a small shop but be attracted by many customers sitting in the shop and standing in front of the shop as well as from certificate from many places. This shop was established more than 30 years, when we walk into the shop, you will get the feeling of eating dessert in traditional Thai style house .
With more than 30 years experience in the Black Jelly dessert and the group of consumers changed, these factors make the 2nd generation owner, R Kung's wife, became thinking and understanding the customer behaviour more, so she decided to adapt and launch the creative and various menu to attract their customers more. For example ; Son Sa Hai Wan Yen and Bang Chao Keow Wan Yen. Moreover, she and her some helped to design and create their own brand,  "R Kung".
With the tasteful Black Jelly Iced of this shop, many international travel magazine also recommend this shop to the tourist as A Must Visit Shop on the Tha Prajan Road.

4P - Product, Price, Place, Promotion


Product: seeking for the best ingredient and material to serve customer the best black jelly dessert. Serving with the variety of disney or cartoon dishes.

Variety of dessert menu:  "Son Sa Hai Wan Yen",combining of Tofu Jelly, Black Jelly and Chinese small bread(ปลาท่องโก๋) with traditional sugar cane and Ice

Price: standard price with local competitors >> 15-30 Bath/Bowl

Place: Tha Prajan Road, nearby the Thamasat University and the attractive sight seeing place, The Grand Palace and Ship landing which can capture the variety of customers. 
So, its target customer are below list;
1. Foreigner from the Grand Palace Visit
2. Teenagers and students from Thammasat university
3. Thai people who pass by and do shopping on weekend

Promotion:

1. Word of mouth
2. Create their own Brand," R Kung" to raise awareness among customers
3. Magazine-free advertising from tourist agency
4. The friendliness of the shop owner
